greenteQ VARIO SBA is a multi-functional applicable specialised joint sealing tape with outstanding features. It is designed for window depths below 54 mm so is, therefore, particularly suitable for sealing the area of the window sill connection (German: Sohlbankanschluss = SBA). It is ideal for joints that have to be airtight and resistant to driving rain, with heat-insulating properties for the whole depth.

greenteQ VARIO SBA meets the requirements of the RAL-Principle for vapour diffusing seals, whereby the drying of the joint is guaranteed.

Here's how the greenteQ VARIO 3 SBA tape works
Instead of needing three separate products, one is now sufficient. Due to its special construction, the functions of all three sealing levels are combined in the greenteQ VARIO SBA tape: On the outside, the greenteQ VARIO SBA tape ensures watertightness with more than 600 Pa. The middle zone provides thermal and sound insulation. The inside of the tape is airtight and moisture resistant. The greenteQ VARIO SBA tape guarantees a good drying of joints (confirmed by ift Rosenheim). In the EnEV and thermal protection regulation, there is a requirement according to DIN 4108-3 that water falling during thaw periods must be returned to the environment during evaporation periods. The VARIO SBA tape fulfils this requirement.

All in all, a lot of time can thus be saved when sealing windows. In just one step, the tape is affixed to the window frame, butt joined at the corners and is finished. Compared to conventional window mounting, the work required with the greenteQ VARIO 3 tape is reduced to less than one quarter of the time.

Mounting security across the entire product line
The mounting is independent of the weather and ensures efficient joint sealing. Installation errors are eliminated by means of the green colouring of the airtight inner strip edge.
